Dave is our founder and Managing Director. Coming from a professional rugby playing background, Dave knows what it means to push limits, what it takes to be the best and that you are only as good as the team around you.
Dave is a born leader, he has hand picked each member of the team and he takes great pride in mentoring and supporting them to produce results that he knows our clients will love as much as we do.

Through his love of craftsmanship and eye for detail, Dave started York Building in 2009. He has built strong relationships with clients, architects, designers, staff, suppliers and contractors in the industry and is respected amongst his peers.

With over 16 years of professional experience in the corporate space within the finance and sales environment, Kirsten has explained that she has learnt a lot about what she loves doing…and also a lot about what she does not love doing…
She holds a Bachelor of Business and marketing as well as Interior Decorating which makes her a valued asset to the York Building team.
Kirsten’s responsibilities lie across marketing, communication and business operations.

A few words from Kirsten
“Being a mum to my two small girls and having had worked in the corporate space for many years, I feel it has given me beautiful clarity around where I want my energy to be focused. Having done our own private property projects and seeing what York Building was creating, I knew I wanted to be a part of it. I believe that we need to love what we do and do what we love – having a passion for beautiful spaces, I knew that I wanted to be a part of the process which makes them so.”

With 8 years of project management experience under his belt, Mike is a valued asset to the York Building team.

He holds a Bachelor of Science in Building construction and worked in industrial construction for 4 years before moving in to the residential and commercial building space.

Mike’s specialities lie across project management, project planning and scheduling, budget tracking, liaising with clients, architects, engineers, consultants and project quotations.

A few words from Mike
“I came to Australia for a two week holiday back in 2015. After meeting the people Sydney and realising the type of lifestyle I could have here, I quit my job in the US and came back a month later to live permanently. I live in Bondi and enjoy going to the beach, surfing (I’m pretty bad), and exploring Sydney.
The part I love most about working for York Building is the type of culture the company has. We hire the type of people you want to be around inside or outside of work and it creates a dynamic culture that sets us apart from other builders.”

A more accomplished Construction manager, you could not find – we are so proud to have Chris leading the charge of our client’s projects.
With a Certificate III in Carpentry & Joinery, a NSW contractors licence, a NSW supervisors Licence and 26years of building experience under his belt, Chris is truely exceptional in his field and brings so much understanding, knowledge and leadership to each project.
With years of experience in both commercial and residential building and joinery, there are not many obstacles Chris hasn’t seen before – his love for his trade is so obvious when you see him on the tools and his craftsmanship is pure class.
Chris manages and controls the construction process and timeframes, he coordinates all trades and materials across all projects, he sets the tone of quality control and liases with clients, architects and engineers to ensure projects run smoothly and on time.

What I enjoy most about working with York Building is the caliber of our team, contractors and the projects which we build and deliver together. The variety of the work we do is fun to be a part of and I love delivering the high end work we do in Sydney’s most prestigious suburbs.
Outside of work, I love spending time with my family and really enjoy motorsport and photography.
